High Pressure Simulators and Deep Well Simulators

EPSI, a world leader in custom-engineered high-pressure solutions, has designed many high-pressure vessel simulators that pressurize fluid heating to 650°F (343oC). Designed for low maintenance, EPSI’s Deep Well Simulators, Deep Sea Simulators, and Off Shore Simulators are ideal for all applications requiring moderate temperature during the application of pressure and can be customized to suit application-specific needs. The simulators are capable of operating at pressures up to 60,000 psi (approximately 413 MPa) with control of pressurization and decompression which results in testing uniform and accurate simulation.

EPSI’s high-pressure simulators and deep well simulators are available in a variety of sizes from pilot to large production units, and feature quick opening, high temperature top closure systems designed to meet the customer’s simulation requirements. The high-pressure simulator can be equipped with fully automated controls with safety and alarm devices, adjustable pressure set-points, dwell time and fluid drain settings.

Deep Sea Simulators

  • The pressures, temperatures and forces produced in any ocean environment can be precisely simulated inside a pressure vessel
  • Typical units range from diameters of 500 to 2000 mm (20 to 80 inches) and pressures up to 15,000 psi (100 MPa)

Deep Well Simulators

  • Deep Well Simulators are primarily used to test ‘down hole’ measuring instruments for their resistance to subterranean temperatures and pressures
  • The Deep Well Simulators’ heating and cooling systems, pump groups, and control systems are specifically designed to meet the particular operating conditions required
  • Typical Deep Well Simulators diameters range from 150 to 350 mm (6 to 14 inches) pressures up to 60,000 psi (400 MPa) and temperatures up to 300°C (572°F)
